It gives me immense pleasure in re-introducing the Government College University with a renewed zeal and commitment of its faculty and students to achieve excellence in teaching, learning and research.
The University is proud of its 100 year old evolutionary existence and is committed to provide its students and researchers a competitive enabling environment. With undergraduates and graduate offerings in over 25 disciplines in natural, physical and social sciences the University is endeavoring to contribute to the national capacity building initiatives. This is besides the professional degree programs in management and administrative sciences, telecommunication engineering, law and pharmacy---all this resulting in a diverse student body of over 13000 students on campus, forming a highly competitive learning base.
