The Board of Trustees/Board of Governors
FITFD has a Board of Trustees comprising the founder Chairman and Vice Chairman, eminent academics and prominent representatives of the local community. The Board of Trustees is the supreme governing body of the Institute. The Trustees meet at least after every three months to review strategy and to discuss and approve proposals submitted by the members.
Chairman Board of Governors may constitute an Executive Committee to look after daily routine business of the institute and shall perform such functions and exercise powers as delegated by the BOG or prescribed from time to time by the authority. Executive Committee shall comprise of the following members:

• Chairman
• Vice Chairman
• Director Human Resource
• Director Finance
• Director Academics
• Director

Corporate Partners
Other than trustees there will be Corporate Partners to provide machinery and equipment to FITFD. Currently Salam & Company is the corporate partner of Fitfd.

Directors FITFD
Directors FITFD are appointed by the Chairman on the recommendation of Executive Committee and they are officers of the Institute to run the affairs.

Registrar
Registrar is appointed by Executive Committee to manage all policies and rules and regulations.

Department Chairs
Department Chairs (Heads of Department) are nominated by the Dean after consultation with departmental faculty and staff. The Rector's Office approves the appointment. The Department Chair is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Department, and is accountable
to the Dean.

Academic Council
The supreme academic legislative body of the Institute is the Academic Council. The Academic Council is made up of the Chairperson, Deans of Faculties and Directors of Schools and nominated senior Chairs of Departments. Teacher’s representatives may at times be admitted when matters directly concerning them are on the agenda. The Academic Council makes all decisions relating to general academic policy. The Academic Council also confers all Institutional degrees. In the interests of efficiency the Academic Council and the Executive Committee at times elect to sit in single session.

Faculty Committees
Faculty Committees, consisting of the respective Dean, Vice Dean (if appointed) and Department Chairs are responsible for overseeing the effective functioning of their Faculties.

Ad hoc Committee
The Executive Committee will appoint ad hoc committees and working parties, as the occasion demands, to address particular issues and situations. An example is the Disciplinary Committee. Such committees review and make recommendations for approval by the Executive Board.

Staff
Students at FITFD are taught by an energetic staff team, all of whom are expert and successful practitioners. Due to its strong links with the fashion industries, Fashion, Textile, Graphic designing courses are also able to attract an impressive range of visiting staff and guest speakers. All full time staff and visiting lecturers are practicing designers, artists or researchers within their own fields of specialize and bring a wide range of professional experience into their teaching.

Industry links
All members of staff provide a vital link into the commercial world. During the course there are visits to museums, studios, workshops, galleries, trade shows and industry – both national and international. There is also an opportunity to gain work experience either in Pakistan or abroad, before beginning your final degree project. Specialist course and client led projects in the second year give you the opportunity to develop collections of designs for a range of industry contexts such as design studios, trade shows, prediction agencies and manufacturers.
In the second year, there is a mandatory visit to a trade shows, Exhibitions, seminars. There is a program of talks and presentations for all students by design industry professionals about their careers and businesses.

Attention Areas
The Institution will offer a complete under graduate, Graduate & Post graduate degree in Textile & Fashion Design combined with a Short diploma & certification Program designed for the people already in the market who studied from the existing prestigious institution.
Graduates will be appointed as apprentices & industrialists will be stimulated to hire students as apprentices for the mutual benefits. Faculty will be chosen from the best available professional worldwide.

Progress
The Aim of our Institute is to teach Pakistani students how to interact with International buying houses for that they have to be equipped with all the required tools of handling the business affairs. The key ingredients in all the work will be finding out what customers really need and working in partnership with them to create viable commercial designs. Its has also been suggested that 2 top graduates will visit a world class exhibition like Heimtex Germany.

Methodology
Case Study Analysis, Seminars, Workshops, Exhibitions, Fashion Displays, short training Programs in shape of Internships inside the horizon of the industry will be implemented & been followed from the day one to groom the students according to the need & requirement of both the sectors either in Textile or Fashion Design Discipline.

Physical Infrastructure
Allotted land & Extensive range of facilities including building Infrastructure, offices, Hostel facilities, Recreational Areas, Café, Specious studios, Technical workshops & State of the art equipment including CAD/CAM facilities will be developed to enhance teaching excellence at the institution. The Institute will be engaged in Projects in Textile & Fashion Design, Clothing, Color science and much more related discipline, which reinforce its international reputation & contribute towards excellence in teaching.
