The Executive Committee of FITFD is responsible for formulating and approving the principles, policies and plans governing the activities and operations of the Institute so as to facilitate teaching and other academic work. It can appoint faculty, researchers and officers on the recommendation of the Selection Board. It can also create new components of the Institute such as faculties / departments, if necessary. It can undertake initiatives to ensure efficient and effective management and functioning of the Institute. It proposes plan of work for the approval of the Board of Directors.

Academic Council
FITFD is an academic platform of scholars dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities through responsive management of the Academic Council. Responsibilities of Academic Council include advising the Executive Council on academic matters, regulating the conduct of teaching, research, publication and examination, admissions, conduct and discipline, award of financial assistance, exhibitions, medals and prizes and formulation of the course of studies, syllabi and outlines of all examinations.

Board of Studies
FITFD has a Board of Studies which reports to the Academic Council. It supervises teaching research and academic discipline. It has three sub-committees on curriculum, resources and discipline.

Department Chairs
All the departments at FITFD are headed and organized by the Head of Departments who are the most energetic professionals in their relevant disciplines. The Department Chair is responsible for the day-to-day running and promotion of the Department.

Faculty and Staff
At Faisalabad Institute of Textile & Fashion Design, our research, teaching, and outreach are integrated to focus on producing leading designers and business minds. Our students are taught by an energetic team, all of whom are expert and successful scholars and practitioners.

Due to our strong links with the fashion and textile industries, we are able to provide practical work exposure to our students through teaching by industrial experts, professionals and regular visit to the industries. All full time staff and visiting lecturers are practicing designers, artists or researchers within their own fields of specialization and bring a wide range of professional experience into their teaching.
