Department of Botany, Government College University Faisalabad organized International Symposium on Enhancement of plant productivity under changing clime; Future Perspectives and Challenges. In this symposium several foreign keynote speakers Dr. Janke Rhonde, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman, Dr Rad Al Ain German University of Technology Oman, Dr Shahid Shafiq, Sultan Qaboos University shared their research work. Prof. Dr. Farhat Jabeen, Dean Faculty of Life Sciences, GCUF graced the event as chief guest along with Dr Hidait Rasool, Chairman Department of Microbiology, GCUF. This event was organized under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Shahid Kamal, Vice Chancellor, GCUF. Prof. Dr. Farhat Jabeen, Dean Faculty of Life Sciences and Prof. Dr Naeem Iqbal, Chairman Department of Botany, Dr Saqib Mehmood, Dr Zulqurnain Haider, Dr Noman Habib and Dr qasim Ali were among event organizers. Dr. Muhammad Azeem was the symposium secretary. National keynote speakers Dr Imran Khan (UAF), Dr. Muhammad Farhan ul Haq ( SBS, PU) Dr Saqib Mahmood (GCUF), Dr. Nudrat Ayesha Akram (GCUF) and many distinguished researchers across the country participated. Researchers and students from all over the Pakistan participated and presented their research findings in this symposium. The speakers appreciated the department of Botany for conducting this event and admired the working of the organizers for the success of this event.
